16U USPHL Earns First Win At Hitmen Showcase Over Stars

WAYNE, NJ. – The 16U Florida Jr. Blades earned their first victory of the USPHL’s Hitmen Showcase when they overtook the Syracuse Stars 3-0 Saturday morning at Ice Vault Arena.

The first frame of hockey was scoreless, before Bailey Kaiser broke the tie in second where he claimed the first goal of the battle. Within five minutes, Matthew Walters and Jake Sylvia would find Jack Conley open to double the lead.

Exiting second intermission, Adam Hauptman sent a pass to Conley who found his scored his second goal of the game to secure the Jr. Blades 3-0 win over the Stars.

Goaltender Zachary Humphrey earned the shutout win stopping all of 25 shots faced while Stars Johnathan Locke takes the loss allowing 3 goals on 34 shots.

The Jr. Blades hit the ice once again today at 7:20 p.m. this time facing off against the Pittsburgh Vengeance. The game is scheduled to be streamed on HockeyTv.com.
