Jr. Everblades 14U A head coach Rob Girard discusses the 14U A team finishing off the regular season on a high note:

The 4th Place Jr. Everblades 14U "A" finished up the regular season with a games against the 3rd place Palm Beach Breakers, and the 2nd place Florida Panthers Gold. The Breakers open the scoring in the first and went up 1-0. The Everblades came back and tied the game on a won faceoff in the Breakers Zone with a terrific point shot from D Colby Epranian which generated a rebound which C Anthony Zebley corralled and put upstairs on a great shot that beat the goalie to tie the game. The Breakers came back in the 2nd period to go up 2-1. With net empty with two minutes left 3rd period and a faceoff in the Breakers Zone the team tied the game 2-2 on some late game heroics when Anthony Zebley won the faceoff, kicked the puck up to his stick and took a shot on net as RW Davey Schultz the 6th attacker snuck in behind the D and banged home the rebound to get the tie.

In game two the Everblades played the second place Florida Panthers Gold, getting out front in the 1st period on a goal by  C Anthony Zebley on a great give and go from LW Josh Girard. The Everblades dominated play in the second period put could not get the crucial second goal. The game was extremely tight. The Panthers hung on and scored the tying goal with 20 seconds left in the 2nd period. The third period was back and forth with great saves being made at both ends. The game ended in a 1-1 tie.

The weekend and regular season ending with two ties against two top seeded teams. The team allowing only 3 goals all weekend was indicative of their team play and strong goal-tending by Jeremy Ryon, and Thomas Stuck.

The team is off to the Colorado Springs Presidents Day Tournament February 16 thru 19, then onto Ellenton for the SAHOF State Championships first weekend of March.
