Jr. Everblades 10U AA assistant coach Dan Guenther gives his recap of the  Squirt AA season prior To heading to the SAHOF state tournament:

The Junior Everblades Squirt AA team has enjoyed a solid  year of development and competitive play.  While at times the roster was thinned out by injuries and illness, the players stayed positive and gave 100% each and every game no matter what the score or roster availability.

Head coach Matt Spiller guided the team to a solid third place finish in the 10U AA division in the regular season SAHOF standings which was very respectable considering the inconsistent roster.

The goal of the coaching staff was to improve the overall hockey sense of each player while teaching them to play as one unit which will ultimately prepare them to become solid Pee Wee players next season.

The players are looking forward to playing in the Pee Wee division in an out of state tournament in Nashville, TN in mid-February.  This will be the second time the 10U AA team has participated in the Pee Wee division in a tournament this season.

Team manager Chaz Hambling provided the team with several tournament opportunities and added scrimmages totaling approximately 45 games which was tremendous.  Both head coach Spiller and assistant coach Guenther look forward to the SAHOF state tournament at Germain Arena in March and to watching these players develop in the future.
