4 JEB Teams Bring Home State Championship Banners

The 2024-2025 Junior Everblades hockey season has come to an end and these teams went out with a BANG! It was another memorable season for our hockey players. This was the first season in Junior Everblades history that all 11 teams qualified for the SAHOF State Championships! Let’s look back on the 2024-2025 hockey season.

10U AA team, coached by Head Coach Matthew Spiller and assisted by Ryan Vesce, Jeremy Dehner, and Mike Paralovos, ended the regular SFHL season in 5th place with a record of 11-7. Throughout the season, the team faced off in four additional tournaments, showcasing their skills. They brought home one 1st place medal and three 2nd place medals.

10U A ORANGE team, coached by Head Coach Craig Kowalski and assisted by Greg Murphy, Kenny Koehler, and Mike Paralovos, had an outstanding season. They finished 2nd in the regular season with a record of 12-4-2. The team competed in three additional tournaments, bringing home two 2nd place medals. Their continued determination culminated in a 1st place championship win in the 10A ORANGE GOLD division at the State Championships.

10U A BLACK team, coached by Head Coach Mike Lendino and assisted by Craig Bowers and Jeff Barney, with Brian McCormick as the team manager, had an impressive season. They ended their regular SFHL season in 9th place with a record of 7-10-1. Despite the challenges, the team showed a resilient spirit. They competed in four tournaments throughout the season, bringing home one 1st place medal. Their hard work and dedication paid off at the State Championships held at the Orlando Ice Den in Maitland, Florida, where they battled fiercely to secure a 1st place Championship finish.

12U AA team, coached by Head Coaches Ernie Hartlieb and Rene Gauthier, assisted by Hank Hartlieb, with Melissa Gauthier as the team manager, had a commendable season. They finished the regular season in 4th place with a record of 13-4-1. Despite facing tough competition, the team showcased their skills throughout the season. They competed at the State Championships but fell short in the semifinals round. Their hard work and dedication have been evident, and they have set a strong foundation for future success.

12U A ORANGE team, coached by Head Coach Austin Petersen and assisted by Michael Grenzy, Curtis Brennen, and James Johnstone, with CZ DiRosario as the team manager, finished in 7th place in the regular season with a record of 9-6-3. Throughout the season, the team showcased their skills in various tournaments. They competed in four additional tournaments ending up with three 1st place banners.  Their hard work culminated at the Community First Igloo in Jacksonville, FL, where they battled for the State Championship but fell short in Round Robin.

12U A BLACK team, coached by Head Coach Patrick Olsen and assisted by Jeremy Dehner, Jason Incardone, and Andrew Lyons, with Shelley Kirk as the team manager, had an exceptional season. They ended the regular SFHL season in 1st place with a record of 16-1-1. The team showcased their skills as they competed in various tournaments throughout the season, taking home two 1st place banners. The 12U Black team continued their impressive performance at the State Championships where they placed 1st, taking home the banner and the title of State Champions.

12U A WHITE team, coached by Head Coach Brad Fritzsche and assisted by David Rohde and Salvatore Amato, with Diane Elliott as the team manager, had an outstanding season. The end of the SFHL season found them in 2nd place with a record of 16-2-1. Throughout the season, the team competed in three tournaments, with one 1st and one 2nd place. Additionally, they fought hard in the State Championships at Hertz Arena in Estero, Florida, where they fell short in the finals, taking 2nd place.

14U A ORANGE team, coached by Head Coach Bobby Davis and assisted by Bob Rando, Kevin Alexander, and Jim Landis, with Amy Alexander as the team manager, finished the regular season in 4th place with a record of 13-4-1. Throughout the season, the team showcased their development and skills in several tournaments, bringing home one 1st place banner and two 2nd places. Their hard work and dedication culminated at the Palm Beach Skate Zone in Palm Beach, Florida, where they faced off for States but came up short in the semi-final game.

14U A BLACK team, coached by Head Coach Michael Grenzy and assisted by Ernest Grenzy and Kyle Torres, with Janelle Grenzy as the team manager, finished their regular season in 1st place with a record of 12-2-1. The team played in four additional season tournaments and brought back one 1st place banner. Their hard work and dedication culminated at the Palm Beach Skate Zone in West Palm Beach, Florida, where they faced off in the State Championship but fell short in the semi-final round.

16U A GREEN team, coached by Head Coach David Rohde and assisted by Lee Redmond, Anthony Butrico, and Adrian Sabatino, with Joe Costa as the team manager, had an extraordinary season. They finished the regular SFHL season in 1st place and remained undefeated with a record of 17-0-1. Their hockey season is a testament to the team's hard work, dedication, and exceptional skills. Various tournaments were played throughout the season where they brought home one 1st place banner.  Their efforts took them to the State Championships at Advent Health Center Ice in Wesley Chapel, Florida, where they remained undefeated and placed 1st in the championship game, bringing home the banner and the title of 16U A State Champions.

16U A GRAY team, coached by Head Coach Derek Poletis and assisted by Patrick Conroy, with Melissa Lawrence as the team manager, finished the regular season in 7th place with a record of 9-7-2. Their bid for the State Championship fell short in the semifinal round.

Congratulations to all Junior Everblades teams on an outstanding season! We are incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication each team has brought to our organization this year.
