8U Teams Dominate at Palm Beach Tournament

Estero, FL – August 25, 2024 – The Junior Everblades 8U Minor hockey team made an impressive debut at the Palm Beach Skate Zone tournament. Under the skilled leadership of Head Coach Austin Petersen and Assistant Coach Anthony Germain, the team achieved an undefeated record of 6-0.

Key Highlights:

  • Undefeated Streak: The Junior Everblades 8U Minor team showcased their talent, securing victories in all six games played.
  • Stellar Goaltending: Goalie CJ Penix stood tall, recording five shutouts throughout the tournament. Penix allowed a mere two goals in the Championship game.

Coach Petersen expressed pride in the team’s performance: “Our players worked hard, supported each other, and executed our game plan. It’s an exciting start to the season.”

 The Junior Everblades 8U Majors hockey team demonstrated resilience and skill at the Palm Beach tournament. Under the guidance of Head Coach Dave Lundbohm and Assistant Coach Andrew Gallo, the team secured a commendable second-place finish.

  • Hard-Fought Battles: The 8U Majors faced intense competition, playing six tightly contested games throughout the tournament.
  • Impressive Record: With a 3-1-2 record, the team showcased their determination and teamwork.
  • Thrilling Championship Game: In a nail-biting final, the Championship game was tied 2-2 at the end of regulation time. Unfortunately, the team fell short in overtime.
