MLK Tournament Weekend Wrap Up

The Junior Everblades took on many MLK Weekend Tournaments all over the country this past weekend. These teams played hard, fierce, and were determined to win.

The 10U A1, coached by Ryan Vesce and Matthew Spiller, took on the MLK On The Beach Tournament in Ellenton, Florida. The team went undefeated the entire tournament and took home Gold. The team named goalie Blaze Celaya, the MVP of the tournament.

    The 10U A2 team, coached by Austin Petersen and assisted by Kenny Koehler, took on the Mid-Florida Meltdown in Wesley Chapel, Florida. This team fought a hard challenge by playing up a division in this tournament. The team went undefeated but fell short in the finals and took home second place! The team named Jace Scott as the tournament MVP.

The 12U AA, coached by Mike Grenzy, packed their bags, and the team took on the Carolina Cup in Charleston, South Carolina. The team battled hard but fell short in the championship game, taking home 2nd place in the division. Coach Grenzy was so proud of the team that he could not just name one player of the tournament but named the team MVP, as this win was a team effort.

  The 12U A1 team, coached by Charlie Linglet, competed in the Mid-Florida Meltdown in Wesley Chapel, Florida. This team battled the entire weekend but fell short and was eliminated in the semifinals. Coach Linglet named Reese Giovonti the MVP of the tournament.

  The 14AA team, coached by Johnny Pelletier, took on the Big Chill Tournament in Jackson, Michigan. The snow didn’t stop this team from battling! The team battled hard but fell short and placed 4th in the tournament.

  The 14A2 team took on the O-Town Showdown in Orlando, Florida. The team took time out of their busy hockey schedule for some team bonding and spent an afternoon go-karting! The coaches wanted to acknowledge the team as the MVP of the tournament.

The 16AA battled in a showcase in Chicago, Illinois. The team named Logan Whitcomb the MVP of the showcase.

  The 16A team, coached by Derek Politas, took on the Mid-Florida Meltdown in Wesley Chapel, Florida. The team battled through a tough weekend and placed 2nd in the Blue Division. The MVP of the team was awarded to Jacob Adams.

    Many memories were made between teams and families this weekend. We are proud of all our teams for playing so hard. Congratulations to our teams who battled this weekend!
