Jr. Everblades Coach Vallieres recaps the 2018-19 season for the 10U AA program:

Our strategy this season for the 10UAA team was to focus on skill development, to introduce basic systems play and to instill a sense of “team” within our young players.  To emphasize the team concept, we strategically did not single out captains but instead asked each of the boys to focus on self-discipline and being a leader on their respective offensive line or defensive partnership. From a coaching perspective, we enjoyed partnering with our JEB 10A coaches to structure weekly practices that focused on overall skill development for both teams.

Although we started the 2018/2019 season with limited ice time and several losses, this team’s will to win was apparent from the start!  Because of the team’s developing skill level and desire to compete in big games, we made the decision to prepare for our state tournament by competing at the 12U level for each of our tournaments this season.  Our boys rose to the challenge and won two of the three PeeWee tournaments we entered!

We finished the season on a high note by winning the 10UAA SAHOF State Tournament at the Florida Hospital Center in Wesley Chapel, FL!  This tournament was a team effort; coaches set strategy, players put their heart and soul into each game and our parents were incredibly supportive of our young athletes.

Congratulations JEB 10UAA team!  You accomplished so much this year because you put in the work, stuck together and earned it!  Coach Joe and I are very proud of you!
