Jr. Everblades 14U AA assistant coach Walter Munkelwitz gives his recap of the 2017-18 thus far:

It was pretty apparent to head coach Mike Delaney from the onset that we had a special group of players and parents.  His instincts were confirmed after our first few practices, and he developed a game plan to build on our character and toughness, and have a system that would allow our kids to grow as players and young men and women.  Our players trust was rewarded from the beginning with a 2-0 Labor Day Challenge win over the heavily favored Gulf Coast Flames

As the year has gone on, our players maturity and skill has continued to be reflected in our achievements throughout the season: One more tournament win (Germain Christmas Tournament), one tournament finals appearance (MLK Winter Challenge, Chicago, Il.) and our outstanding league play (securing a SAHOF birth with 4 games to go in the season).

None of this would have been possible without the dedication of our players and parents, and the leadership fostered by Coach Delaney.  We still have goals to accomplish, so our season is far from over, and we look forward to the challenges that achieving these goals has to offer.
